Plagiarism & Tom Papania REFORMED MOBSTER OR NOT?
Now, what makes tom's tapes and videos violate the copyright law? Are both stories
similar?
Tom is accused of using the Manuscript, Father Figure
copyright in 1986 and published as House Of Cards, in 1996 to add creative ideas to his
Fraudulent testimony sold by the hundreds of thousands in Video and Audio tape format.
Below you will READ about the similarities of the two
works, Tom's audio/video, herein titles "TESTIMONY"
and the copyright works herein titled "MANUSCRIPT" which is alleged that Tom used portions to add to his
TESTIMONY (which was copyright years before Tom's first testimony and BEFORE Tom's trial).
When listening to the TESTIMONY you will hear of a "Picture On The
Nightstand", a theme that runs throughout the MANUSCRIPT and a base idea of creative
writing in the MANUSCRIPT.. So is a meeting with Carlo Gambino over a teen stealing
from the mob, beatings whereboth have writings of laughing so as not to show pain and
being defiant, BOTH have ancestry married in their teens (though records prove Tom's folks
were not) , BOTH use Charlton Heston and Ben Hur to explain a situation, Both take down a
mob joint with 30 members, make them strip, have TWO teens along and use a gun with no
bullets, and both have similar actions that lead to beatings and meetings, BOTH earn the
exact amount of $200 per week while working with the mob as youth, BOTH seek out a priest
or preacher and find Christ, BOTH use Al Copone as reference to wanting to be
mobsters, and it goes on and on. BOTH stories have both individuals GIVING UP
BUSINESS AND RICHES..
Take the following:
Testimony of Tom:
" I saw a gun on the ground. It was an old gun. It was
rusty. It had no bullets in it. And I picked it up and when I got together with my friends
(two) later on, I came up with this idea. There were these old Italian men that used to
stay in this storefront. ... we could go in there with this gun and hold them up ......
there was about thirty or more men in there... I made them place the money on the
table...I realized that there were only three of us and over thirty of them. ...So, I made
each one of them take their pants off. I not only got their money, I got their respect,
their dignity..."
MANUSCRIPT:
"Waving the .38 around so as to keep the fact of its impotency a secret, Joe
scooped all the cash from the table then ordered his 30 subjects to empty their pockets
inside out, STRIP, and keep facing the walls . Gathering the clothing in a bag, along with
guns and assorted paraphernalia, while mobsters and gamblers.. he had done it, taken their
very respect..
******************
Testimony of Tom:
"And when I got to the hospital, I paused at the entrance to her room. And I closed
my eyes to remember the last time I saw her. And she was a typical Italian mother,
four-foot, eleven, with a wooden spoon in one hand and the rosary beads in the other. She
weighed about 160 pounds. And when I turned to walk into the room, what I saw broke my
heart in a million of pieces. I saw a skeleton of body, 65 pounds, laying in that bed. On
the nightstand, was a picture of me when I was three years old. And I just started crying
uncontrollably. I couldn't take the pain of not seeing her all these years and seeing her
like this. And she looked up. And I grabbed her in my arms and started crying. And the
tears from my face fell on her face. And I said, "Mom, I've changed." She said,
"I know." "
MANUSCRIPT:
"I paused and then ...Turning into the room, I was greeted by an unfamiliar
picture. "Mom?" I asked. Can this be the large, happy woman who was the champion
in the ring of life? Her frail bones and loose, wrinkled flesh draped the bed like a
hundred-year old worn quilt, its once supple down peeking in ragged tufts through ruptured
seams--only its faded color and design left to prompt recognition. I was stunned! Mom was
a mere rough sketch of my memory. Her eyes were tightly shut . . . a grim red slash
replacing her once plump lips that had planted many a tender kiss upon my cheeks in the
hour of my needs . . .they trembled. Was it with hope? Fear? Or were they in rhythm
with the memories of her dreams?..." Mother I love you --you know I love you--I have
always loved you --you have...
Her eyes glistened and droplets of twinkling lights of her smile
intensified in joyful acknowledgment and recognition that her son, Joe, had returned; and
her little boy of so long and had become a father himself... [she then
cries with rock and rock says he wants to say I Love You and I HAVE CHANGED and she says ]
yes, I know.."
The MANUSCRIPT, tells of her weight, size, prayers and
more.. and the nightstand and pic? well, the manuscript tells of a PICTURE on a NIGHTSTAND
was a repetition of the story..and, fact is ..both tell of how long they hated their
mothers, and FINALLY at the death bed, come to terms.. yet Tom's mom passed away while tom
was in prison .. "There Is life after Death" page 359, - " I
had not talked to my mother in years, blaming her for everything, when upon her death bed
of cancer, I would finally come to terms... that all I ever wanted was her love... and I
soon found out I did have it.. " Tom states that he ALSO met with
his mother upon her death bed of cancer... after not seeing her for a decade? But, the
difference is that Tom's mom passed away WHILE HE WAS LOCKED UP// yet he contacted
in an almost identical manor and circumstance??]
TESTIMONY
"There was a knock on the door, and my father opened
it," says Papania remembering his adolescent years, "and there were three men
standing there." The three elderly Italian men hung out at a storefront
that Papania and two friends had robbed three times. The men warned him face-to-face not
to try robbing them again, because the only reason they had allowed him to live was out of
respect to his grandfather. When the men left, Papania got the worst beating ever from his
father.
[ Now, this statement is almost directly quoted from MANUSCRIPT even the cause
of the beating AND the beating itself is nearly IDENTICAL ( see page 149 for the
brutal beating . )
TESTIMONY
I actually began hating my father because I wanted him to love me so
desperately," he says.
MANUSCRIPT
After my father shunned me (I was born crippled) I began a love/blame/hate
type of thought process, this was prominent to my first introduction to Christ at 5 years
of age. I WANTED HIM TO LOVE ME, and then THEY MURDERED HIM! see: "What happened to
father" Chapter 5, page 30 House of Cards The Curse Of Alphonso!
" I had a Mobster Step Father 9Joe Pagoreelo, owned the Cheetah Lounge on 38
St in Long Island City NY) whom I hated and he me, he was the one whom beat me and such
for taking down mob joints and then for working with a mobster stealing cars and trucks..
TESTIMONY
"Since his father, wanting nothing to do with the mob, wouldn't reveal what
the men knew about Papania's grandfather, Papania went straight to the men for
answers."
MANUSCRIPT
[...father had been murdered , I then went to a meet with Gambino himself, who knew
my Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great great grandfather, my Grandmother and
my Uncle Frank..and Carmine. I wanted to KNOW about my Father, who he was, how he was
killed, what my family's TRUE history was, so I did...and soon I was stealing cars, trucks
packed with goods and living HIGH on the hog in a real hotel room..earning 200.00 a
week,,,,,
TESTIMONY
"Joe "The Boss" Mazzaria, Papania's maternal grandfather, had been
instrumental in actually bringing the La Cosa Nostra to America in the early 1900s. He
became one of the first most powerful, wealthy, and violent mob bosses. To get back at his
father, Papania joined the Gambino family."
Did Papania have "maternal" ties to Mazzaria,? We have proof that Joe
the Boss had ONLY one son, and he was 19 years of age when he was hit. Tom's story, again,
comes close to the manuscript. IN FACT, the story of Marranzano's arrival and his
defeat (the murder of Joe The Boss by Marranazo order brought upon the Mob as we
know it today.) This history of empowering the mob is in the first 3 chapters of the
manuscript HISTORY and not the book.! Coincidental?? How about he received a FULL
manuscript!
TESTIMONY
"I don't think God was ever on my mind," he says. "It was just
money. Money was my God and power. A move to Atlanta made Papania even more successful as
an owner of restaurants and nightclubs. But one morning as he surveyed his wealth..
MANUSCRIPT
Almost identical to Opening of House of Cards, except that tom had nothing on or
off the books as far as cash, business or any wealth
TESTIMONY
he felt the voice of God telling him he was headed in the opposite direction of
heaven. Trembling, he unleashed his anger at God and decided to kill himself. But before
he could pull the trigger, the phone rang. An Italian customer from one of Papania's
restaurants invited him to church and Sunday dinner. After
attending church, Papania wanted to murder the pastor who saw the little boy in him crying
to be loved by his father. Instead of killing the minister as planned, Papania accepted
Christ."
Manuscript
Tom claiming he was going to kill the pastor TRULY is identical to what occurred in
the manuscript:
It was a PRIEST WHOM WAS AT THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
CHURCH IN ASTORIA QUEENS NY. There I was, gun in hand, ready to kill myself when something
made me enter the church..... I was about to kill myself or someone with a gun I had taken
from the men sent to "Whack" us for robbing the gambling joint, I was yelling at
God, when I looked up and saw the Immaculate Conception Church in Astoria Queens,
NY, something made me enter. I was soon screaming at God, saying that He did not exist,
that life was .. and then, a voice boomed, "But He Does..." it was the priest,
there I was with the gun..."
TESTIMONY
I was on my knees in the middle of his office, and for the first time in 30 years,
crying," says Papania. "I mean crying where my body was just wracked."
MANUSCRIPT
In the first three chapters of House Of Cards, the reader will immediately realize
that the focus of the story is about men of respect, the battle with the desire to be
mobster and that "men did not cry!". They will. as they journey through
the many chapters see that a lack of CRYING was preeminent. That to cry was the hardest
thing to do "for a man of respect".. and, when ever I got beat, with every thing
from a razor strap to a steel vacuum cleaner extensions, I laughed..
: Rescued By God: ""With an awful shout that
reverberated off the ghostly buildings, Joe reached for the gun he had snatched off the
ground at the feast and placed it at his head... Should I die on these filthy
streets? My body to lie so people may walk their dogs over me like my father before me .
. . .suddenly, looming in the shadow of his thoughts, a picture of sanctity, of
cleansing power . . . . .The immaculate conception church . . .though past midnight, the
doors were wide open; beckoning...The Saints stood perched upon their thrones, silently
viewing his every move, patiently waiting for him to defile their sanctuary . . when he
reached the black, wrought iron railing. . . he knelt upon the red velvet lined knee
board... he felt like crying..... but . . . demanded otherwise . . .Blasphemies scream
blasphemies it demanded . .twisting, tearing, his anger welled to his throat.. why? why he
asked out loud, why did you take my father? . . .A voice abruptly startled him: the
words interrupting all thought ... loud and clear . . . the chapel
reverberating with the Lord's resounding voice: "I am your father! . . the pries put
his arms around . .. those tears that had welled within his eyes so many times,
threatening to flow and release the agony of his heart, were released internally, rage
erupted from within . . . he could not wash away the guilt. Oh! The agony of desperately
wanting to cry and wash away his guilt, his torment, his sorrow, his impotency, his
inadequacy to rectify his situation. . . and then, a flash of bright, white light flooded
his soul. An hereditary of tears burst the dam of his legacy; flooding, washing, battling
with the filth and grime of his life. In heaving torrents of rains of grief and sorrow, of
pain and of agony, of his and all of theirs, they rushed forth draining . . emptying . .
cleansing. . ."
These are but the major portions of BOTH stories that are
similar, and when combined with many others, one is left with undeniable fact that Tom
USED the manuscript to bolster and add much to his fabrication. We believe that Tom
probably did have a critical experience but . .the story again is much too similar, and,
when combined with the facts of his lies as stated in the first portion of this website,
we leave nothing to any imagination! |
